12 Days – Grand Morocco Trip .

Day 1 - Arrival in Casablanca

• Arrive at Casablanca Airport and meet your tour guideor the start of your “Grand Morocco Trip”. 
• Transfer to your hotel and check-in.
• Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the city on your own or relax at the hotel to recover from your journey.
• Overnight stay in Casablanca.

Day 2 - Hassan II Mosque – Rabat – Chefchaouen

• After breakfast, visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world.
• Depart for Rabat (1 hour drive) , the capital city of Morocco. Explore the historical sites such as the Royal Palace, Kasbah of the Udayas, and Hassan Tower.
• Continue your journey to Chefchaouen, the famous “Blue City” nestled in the Rif Mountains.
• Check into your hotel and enjoy an evening stroll through the charming blue-washed streets.
• Night at Chefchaouen.

Day 3 - Day trip to Akchour Waterfall

• Enjoy a day trip to Akchour Waterfall, a picturesque natural wonder located in the Rif Mountains.
• Trek through scenic landscapes, cross rivers, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the waterfall.
• Return to Chefchaouen in the evening and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4 - Chefchaouen – Volubilis & Meknes – Fes

• Set off from Chefchaouen towards Fes. Stop off at Volubilis, the ancient Roman ruins.
• Learn about the rich history of Volubilis as you explore the archaeological site.
• Continue to Meknes and visit attractions such as the Bab Mansour, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum and the Royal Stables.
• Arrive Fès by evening and settle into hotel.

Day 5 - Fes Medina City Tour

• Join a guided tour of the Fès medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
• Get lost in the narrow alleys, bustling souks, and historical landmarks including Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque, Bou Inania Madrasa, and the tanneries.
• Have lunch at a traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina.
• The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure, perhaps with a Moroccan dinner of local delicacies.
• Overnight stay in Fes 

Day 6 - Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Sahara Desert

• Leaving Fes earlier and head for the Sahara.
• En route, pass through the Cedar Forest of the Middle Atlas Mountains, home to Barbary macaques.
• Proceed further along the scenic Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and lush landscapes.
• Upon reaching the outskirts of the Sahara Desert, settle into your desert camp accommodations.
• Watch the sun set over the desert on a camel trek through the shifting sand dunes.
• Later, relish an evening beneath the celestial canopy, accompanied by the enchanting melodies of traditional Berber music and a delectable dinner.

Day 7 - Exploring the Desert

• Getting up early for a spectacular sunrise  over the Sahara.
• Following a delightful breakfast, the morning is reserved for engaging in desert activities, including sand-boarding, a drumming course, or quad biking.
• The afternoon is scheduled for a visit to neighboring nomadic villages such as Khamlia, where you can enjoy a captivating Gnawa music performance.
• Dine and spend the night at the desert camp.

Day 8 - Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

• Travel to the Todra Gorges, a series of dramatic canyons carved by the Todra River.
• Continue to the Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations and palm groves.
• Check in to your hotel in the Dades Valley and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 9 - Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Marrakesh

• Depart from Dades Valley and drive towards Marrakech.
• En route, visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a fortified village that has been featured in numerous films and TV shows.
• Wander through the intricate maze of streets, discovering the captivating history of the kasbah.
• Onward journey to Marrakech and check-in at hotel.

Day 10 - Marrakech City trip

• Begin your guided journey through Marrakech, commencing with a visit to the renowned Koutoubia Mosque featuring its stunning minaret.
• Within the historical Bahia Palace, delve into its intricate architecture on this guided tour.
• Among the vibrant Saadian Tombs and the serene Majorelle Garden, gain insights into their historical significance.
• At a local restaurant, relish a delightful lunch during your time in Marrakech.
• During the afternoon, navigate the bustling souks of Marrakech for souvenirs and visit the lively Djemaa el-Fnaa square to witness traditional performances.
• Following the day’s explorations, the evening is yours to savor as the second night unfolds in the “Red City”.

Day 11 - Essaouira Day Trip

• A day trip to Essaouira awaits, a coastal gem celebrated for its whitewashed buildings, sandy beaches, and artistic ambiance.
• Within the UNESCO-listed Medina, take in the historic ramparts and meander along the picturesque harbor.
• Indulge in a delectable lunch of fresh seafood at a local restaurant boasting Atlantic Ocean vistas.
• Consider engaging in optional water sports activities such as windsurfing, kite surfing or horse riding along the beach.
• Upon evening’s arrival, journey back to Marrakech.

Day 12 - Marrakech / Casablanca Departure

Following breakfast, we’ll transfer you to either Casablanca or Marrakech Airport based on your departure flight, concluding your “Grand Morocco Trip” organised by EMT.
